This cigar is a hard one to write a review for. It is a boxed pressed dark chocolate looking San Andreas wrapper. Nice big band. It had an uneven burn with no other construction issues to mention. The flavor profile isn’t a simple one. There’s some leather, toasted coconut, roasted nuts, earth, and the main flavor was black pepper with a concentrated fruity sweetness from the wrapper. There is a hint of coffee in the final third where the strength picks up. The body was medium. The leather really came in during the second third. I did taste slight chocolate notes in the second third but it was in no way “Vivid”. There’s some type of barn yard flavor that interferes with the flavor profile throughout the whole stick. The retro hale is light pepper. I can’t say this is my type of cigar. This is a hard pass for me in the future. I scored this cigar an 85.
