While many associate liquorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) primarily with the confectionery industry, its roots play a significant role in traditional medicine. Despite the time-intensive process of cultivating liquorice roots the plant is remarkably easy to care for and boasts ornamental charm, making the waiting period enjoyable.
